Account Associate/Inside Sales Rep (Dairy/Agriculture Industry)

Duration: 6-month contract to start and potential for a permanent role on the team. Location: Hybrid – Central NY (ideally in Syracuse, Ithaca, Batavia or Rochester) with quarterly visits to HQ located just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Start date: Immediate Compensation: Base salary + bonus, benefits, stock option and revenue sharing plan, Vacation: 3 weeks We're not your average dairy tech company. We’ve got some serious backing from the Canadian government, the State of NY, and some top-notch agri-focused institutions and organizations. But what really sets us apart is our team. We’re a small but mighty group of passionate folks who love a good challenge and aren't afraid to shake things up. We're on the lookout for a stellar Account Associate based in the Central NY area, covering the North-East region of the United States. If you've got a knack for understanding the ins and outs of the dairy industry, particularly when it comes to the well-being of our moo-tastic friends and their reproductive systems, then you might just be the perfect fit! We need someone who can charm the socks off both new and existing clients, working those sales targets with finesse while spreading the word about our amazing solutions. Reporting to Sales Lead, your responsibilities will be a delightful mix of: · Handling inbound calls and info requests with a cheerful attitude and a ready smile. Think of yourself as the friendly neighborhood cow whisperer. · Drumming up business with outbound calls and in-person meetings · Providing timely and professional administrative assistance to sales team and management – be the glue that holds the herd together! · Providing product demonstrations and training to producers on the use and benefits of our awesome Cattle Scan platform. · Ensure our customers are as happy as cows in clover. Gather feedback to keep improving our pasture. · Build and maintain relationships with dairy producers, veterinarians, industry associations, to identify and develop new sales opportunities. · Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities. · Coordinate and attend events to network and promote Cattle Scan. Enjoy the schmoozing and moo-zing! · Assist with HubSpot system and keep our database as current. · Be ready to travel up to 50%. We love a good road trip! Hybrid working is preferred. Requirements: · A bachelor’s degree in business admin or perhaps something related to animal sciences or agriculture. · Life or work experience in the US dairy industry is a must. Know your cows from your calves. · A solid grasp of all things dairy, whether it’s health, genetics, welfare or reproduction. · Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken – do you speak the dairy lingo? · The ability to shine both independently and as part of our fabulous team. · Tech savvy skills including MS Office, Google Suite and perhaps a little CRM magic with HubSpot would be ideal. You don’t have to be a tech wiz but should love technology and innovation to truly enjoy this work. · A willingness to travel with your trusty vehicle and valid license. Ideal Candidate: · A self starter and go-getter with a heart of gold and a passion for making dairy producers' lives a little easier. · Eager to soak up knowledge like a sponge and bring some tech magic to the dairy scene. · A sales superstar with a track record that could make a cow jealous. · A whiz at solving problems and communicating. · A team player extraordinaire, whether in the office or on Zoom. · Bonus points if you’ve got a veterinary or nutrition background!
