Student Internship Program

As a co-op/intern student at Cattle Scan, you will be given an opportunity to share insights and participate in meaningful projects while learning new skills by directly working with experienced professionals in their respective fields. Our projects are engaging and often complex in nature which means you will have an opportunity to experience unique business challenges and expand your perspective in an every-changing industry.


We accept student applications on a rolling basis throughout the year and offer three-, six- or 12-month placements in the areas of administration, data analytics and a variety of client facing roles.


Note: only students currently enrolled in an academic program and returning to their studies will be considered for the Internship Program. If you have graduated, we encourage you to apply through our professionals page.

Administrative Sales Coordinator

Role Title: Summer Internship Program (GTA) - Administrative Sales Coordinator Company: Cattlescan.ca Duration: Hybrid (3 days in office), full time, contract role Office Location: 3600 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON L3R 9Z7 Start Date: September 2024 – 4 month, 6 month or 12 month contracts available Compensation: Hourly salary About Our Company Cattle Scan is not your average dairy tech company. We're on the lookout for a stellar Administrative Sales Coordinator who isn’t afraid to take initiative and learn our industry. If you’ve got a knack for learning new things and are willing to jump into a variety of projects, particularly when it comes to the well-being of our bovine friends and their reproductive systems, then you might just be the perfect fit! Reporting directly to our fabulous CEO, your responsibilities will include a delightful mix of data analytics, marketing, operations, and customer service: Operations & Customer Service Plan and organize industry events, including expos. Set up booths, coordinate with vendors and arrange tickets Source and order merchandise, manage shipments and handle shipping/receiving of parcels Oversee calendar management as required Manage the 1.800 customer service number ensuring all our clients are happy Take initiative and connect with prospective clients to promote our services – consistent follow up is key! Jr. Data Analyst

If you’ve got a knack for learning new things and are willing to jump into a variety of projects, particularly when it comes to the well-being of our bovine friends and their reproductive systems, then you might just be the perfect fit! Your responsibilities will include a delightful mix of data, analytics, and a variety of administrative functions. Data & Analytics -Work with an assigned mentor in analyzing data as part of larger projects -Analyze current algorithms and recommend improvements -Identify opportunities and develop new algorithms to solve business problems -Manage data from a variety of sources and be the point person for our team in data retrieval including cleaning, filtering, analyzing raw data for a variety of projects as assigned -Sharpen your skills using the following programs: Python, Git, VS Code, Anaconda Distribution -Gain familiarity with libraries such as: Matplotlib, Pandas, Numpy, Sklearn, Seaborn and Tensorflow Administration -Work in a variety of databases maintaining accuracy and our client information current -Participate in team meetings and have an opportunity to present findings -Suggest process improvement ideas – we love innovation!
